About the Role
Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, backhoes, and skid steers. Perform tasks including digging, trenching, grading, lifting, and material handling.
Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and grade stakes. Conduct pre-operation and post-operation inspections of equipment. Ensure equipment is used safely and efficiently in compliance with company and OSHA standards. Work closely with site supervisors and crew members to complete projects on schedule.
Monitor site conditions and adjust operations as needed. Perform basic maintenance and report mechanical issues. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Other duties as needed.
Requirements
Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment.
Knowledge of construction site safety and OSHA regulations.
Ability to read grade stakes and follow project specifications.
Strong hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
Ability to work in physically demanding environments.
Reliable transportation and punctuality.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol testing as well as random drug tests.
